A common problem in the current production of high precision products is that the shape of a product can not be measured on the machine. The product has to be removed from the machinery in order to be measured. This is time consuming and causes faults in clamping the product again. We develop fast, accurate, non-contact, on-machine measurement techniques aiming on helping the users of precision machinery, like diamond turning lathes, polishing robots and milling machinery, to get higher product quality with lower costs.
Ultramold Generator Vision Dynamics Optronics presents the Ultramold machine: an ultra precision diamond turning lathe, specifically designed for mold manufacturing. Furthermore it can be used to lathe prototype spectacle lenses in polymer. Subsequently the corresponding mold can be directly lathed.  "Ultrameasure" by Deflectometry Vision Dynamics Optronics, in cooperation with Philips Applied Technologies, has developed a fast, accurate, non-contact, on-machine measurement technique to enable higher precision in aspherical and freeform optics and mold production at lower costs. Deflectometry measures deviations from the original product design and can be used to measure a wide variety of products.
